Who is Hoboken-bar.net?
Hoboken-bar.net was founded in 1998 when an
idea on the back of a cocktail napkin was brought to life on the
Internet. The basis of this idea was to have one site that integrated
all the information from the local bars, pubs and restaurants and
present it in a user-friendly environment. Since the launch of the site
in the early summer of 1998, our idea has proven to be a solid plan for
marketing to the local market, as well as surrounding markets. We have
since branched out our marketing efforts from the cyber-world to the
real world. Working with bar owners, bartenders, wait staff and our
users we develop campaigns and events that are beneficial for all. In
2002 we hosted Its a Small World Al-co-hol 2002, which featured 25
bars and over 4000 attendees.
Hoboken-bar.net's philosophy is simple; Think small,
grow big. We want be able to meet each owners wants and needs,
while developing an efficient infrastructure, which enables it to grow
big. In 2003, we merged with MurphGuide Entertainment Inc. (murphguide.com)
a local New York City entertainment site. This strategic merger has
allowed us to grow by 200%, while still allowing us to remain a small
company. By using shared resources, Hoboken-bar.net is
able to offer many new advertising streams to the local market.

The future of Hoboken-bar.net
In the summer of 2005, Hoboken-bar.net
launched a companion site for the local area restaurants and eateries.
Hobokenmenus.com is a listing site that provides users information all
about each restaurant, as well as, feature downloadable menus that the
user can print out and add the menu to their menu file. Hobokenmenu.com
is currently averaging over 30,000 menu downloads per month. And is
quickly proving to a very useful site for the local market.
In addition to that new site we will be launching JCBar.net and
JCMenus.com this coming spring (2007) that will encompass the Jersey
City Bar & Restaurant markets.
